Tapas Wednesdays have been running during the summer months since 2014.
We wanted to offer something mid week, inexpensive vibrant and fun. Cath has always been a big fan of dining with small plates and wanted to introduce a small plates menu for a more informal approach to dining out mid week.
This year we have decided to start the tapas night over the Easter holidays; with the brighter nights coming into April we thought it would be a great mood setter as we head towards the summer.
Cath and the team came up with a menu of around 15 tapas. Core tapas such as Olives, Anchovies, Serrano Ham & Padron Peppers were fixed on the menu each week, with new tapas each week such as Mackerel with pressed watermelon salad and Crab Claws all with a Spanish influence.
Its a very relaxed service, order as many as you like until content. Tapas come from the kitchen when they are ready so you can graze over them with your favourite Spanish beer or glass of Albarino.
TAPAS Night soon became popular, peaking in June/July with a buzzing atmosphere helped by the sounds of Los Dramaticos on the Flamenco Guitar.
